What started as a love for throwing themed parties with my best friend turned into a passion for event planning! I was the go-to person for balloons at friends bachelorette weekends and my neighborhood birthdays. When my best friend launched her flower wall business, I found the push I needed to start Cantwell Creates.
Hi, I'm Julia
My biggest motivation for growing Cantwell Creates is throwing my kids ridiculously fun birthday parties every year! I love going all out for their birthdays, adding new backdrops to my inventory, and spending slightly too much money that my husband can't complain about. Cantwell Creates gives me an excuse to keep making those parties bigger and better.
I'm a big coffee drinker (iced brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso in the summer, mocha in the winter). I studied aerospace engineering at Virginia Tech, spent several years working as a Brand Market Manager in Rigid Packaging, and am now a stay at home mom. When I am not taking my kids to the playground or doing balloons, I also love sewing, embroidery, and needlepoint!
