Bridal Shower Themes You’ll Actually Want to Use

Fun fact: my husband’s family owns a wedding venue in East Tennessee called Hidden Meadows Farm. Because of that, I’ve followed tons of brides and bridal accounts on Instagram. I love seeing bridal shower themes that are fun, personal, and not something you've seen a hundred times. So I pulled together a few of my current favs! Whether you're planning your own or helping a friend, I hope these give you some fresh ideas (and if you want help with the balloons, I’m your girl!)

She’s a Catch - Lobsters meet Coastal Grandmother

I first saw this theme as a baby shower called “Baby on Board” with lobsters and surfboards, and honestly, it’s even better for a bridal shower. Think casual New England vibes, but elevated with a pretty, simple tablescape.

For balloons, I’d go with a mostly white and medium blue color palette, and add in little red clusters for lobster accents. Top it all off with some baby’s breath, and it’s the perfect mix of classy and fun.

The World is Your Oyster

Nautical seems to be on my brain lately! I love this theme, especially because it gives me an excuse to use pearls on balloons. I’ve also seen it done as “Pearls and Prosecco,” which is equally cute.

For this look, I’d do a large statement backdrop with all white and off-white balloons, and add pearl details for that pretty shimmer.

Perfect Match

Pickleball is having a major moment, and we just moved near some courts! If the couple loves being outdoors and staying active, this is such a fun theme.

If you can actually host the shower at a pickleball court, even better! I’d do a big custom balloon arch that welcomes guests, and add some smaller balloon clusters around the space to tie it together.

She’s Off the Market - Farmer’s market

I saw Shannon Ford do a farmer’s market themed baby shower and thought “Off the Market” would be such a cute spin for a bridal shower. Veggie charcuterie boards with radishes and colorful carrots, flowers everywhere, and natural wood accents to tie it all together.

For balloons, I’d go bright and colorful. White base balloons with pops of red, yellow, orange, and green mini clusters. Bonus points if you have a flower cart or little produce stand to decorate!

She’s Tying the Knot - For the bow-loving girlies

I too have been influenced by the bow trend! This theme is extra cute if the bows are kept subtle; dainty and sweet, not full on gift wrap!

Balloons for this one would be mostly white, with pink accents (or whatever color fits your theme). I love the pearly pink ones from Tuftex for this look. You can add tiny satin bows to the display for an extra little detail.

Her Next Chapter - For the bride who loves books

If you’ve read my other blog posts, I’ve always been drawn to book themes, probably because my daughter loves to read! I love the idea of thrifting old books to use as centerpieces with flowers tucked in, or naming signature drinks after the bride’s favorite novels.

I’d create a big arch of neutral and soft colors, with a pop of florals to match what’s on the tables. Arches are always a hit and look great in photos.

Mint to Be or Something Blue Before I Do - When you want it pretty, not too theme-y

If you don’t love an over-the-top theme, this one is perfect. Use mint or blue floral tablecloths, lots of candles, and baby’s breath. Add in textured floral cookies and fancy drinks with edible flowers.

For balloons, I’d stick to a mix of blues and whites with lots of baby’s breath tucked in. You can go big with a fireplace garland, patio column install, or a freestanding garland.
